G. Kirk Raab
Chairman
Mr. Raab has over 45 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience. He started as a salesman with Pfizer in Brooklyn, New York and then was appointed to marketing management roles including Brazil, Argentina and Chile. He started Beecham's pharmaceutical business in Latin America from his home in Mexico City and then served as Vice President, Latin America for Abbott Laboratories. Having relocated to Chicago, Mr. Raab was Executive Vice President, President and COO and a Director of Abbott. During that period, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Amgen until he joined Genentech as President, COO and a Director in 1985. He was elected CEO in 1990. Mr. Raab was the Founding Chairman of the California Health Care Institute and the Biotechnology Industry Organization. Since leaving Genentech in 1995, he has been involved in over 15 biotech companies, many as Chairman. He is presently Chairman of four companies. Mr. Raab graduated with honors from Colgate University and is a Trustee Emeritus. He also served as a member of the Chancellor's Court of Oxford University.

Thomas J. Dietz, Ph.D
Director
Dr. Dietz has more than 20 years of experience supporting the biopharma industry and the institutional investment community. Prior to his current role as Chairman and CEO of Waypoint Holdings, Dr. Dietz was co-CEO and then CEO and a Director of Pacific Growth Equities, LLC, a San Francisco-based investment bank and institutional brokerage firm from 2004 to 2009, when the firm was acquired by Wedbush Securities. Dr. Dietz served as head of the investment banking division at Webush until November 2010. Prior to becoming CEO at Pacific Growth, Dr. Dietz served as the firm’s Director of Equities Research and was an award-winning biotechnology and biopharmaceutical analyst. Dr. Dietz joined Pacific Growth in 1993. Previously, he was a member of the research faculty in the Department of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco and the VA Medical Center. Dr. Dietz is a member of several national societies and currently serves as Chairman of Galleon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Director of Glialogix, Inc. as well as on the boards of trustees of several non-profit organizations, including the West Bay Region board of the Sutter Health System that includes California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco. Dr. Dietz holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from Washington University, St. Louis, and was a National Science Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow.

Chris Ehrlich
Director
Mr. Ehrlich was part of InterWest's life sciences team from August 2000 to January 2013 focusing on investments in novel therapeutic approaches. Prior to joining InterWest, Ehrlich was director, licensing and business development at Purdue Pharma, a private pharmaceutical firm based in Stamford, CT. In this position, he was responsible for developing a biologic oncology franchise, including in-licensing key intellectual properties, establishing and managing collaborations with biotechnology companies and participating in the commercial operations of Purdue BioPharma, a biotechnology company located in Princeton, NJ. Prior to joining Purdue, Ehrlich worked in business development at Genentech, in venture capital at The U.S. Russia Investment Fund, and in biotechnology strategy development at LEK Consulting. He serves on the boards of several private companies, including: Carbylan BioSurgery, Follica, Invuity, KAI Pharmaceuticals, QuatRx Pharmaceuticals, Satori Pharmaceuticals and Xenon Pharmaceuticals. Ehrlich received his B.A. from Dartmouth College, cum laude, and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Thomas D. Kiley
Director
Mr. Kiley has been self-employed since 1988 as an attorney, consultant, and investor. From 1980 to 1988, he was an officer of Genentech, Inc., serving variously as Vice President and General Counsel, Vice President for Legal Affairs, and Vice President for Corporate Development. From 1969 to 1980, he was with the law firm of Lyon & Lyon, where he was a partner from 1975 to 1980. Mr. Kiley is also a director of Geron Corporation and five private companies -- Attune Foods, Inc., Ceres, Inc., Open Monoclonal Technology, Inc., Osteogenix, Inc., and Theracaine, Inc..

Jake Nunn
Director
Mr. Nunn has been a Partner at NEA since 2006. He focuses on later-stage specialty pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical device investments. Mr. Nunn is a director of TriVascular2 and Aciex, and led NEA's investment in Transcept. Prior to joining NEA, Jake worked at MPM Capital as a Partner with the MPM BioEquities Fund, where he specialized in public, PIPE and mezzanine-stage life sciences investing. Previously, he was a healthcare research analyst and portfolio manager at Franklin Templeton Investments. Mr. Nunn was also an investment banker with Alex Brown & Sons. He received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College. Mr. Nunn holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.

Glenn Oclassen
President, Chief Executive Officer, Director
In 1985, Mr. Oclassen founded Oclassen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a dermatologic drug development and marketing company. He served as a director from the company's inception, was President and CEO from 1985 until 1991, and became Chairman of the Board of Directors in January 1991. He served in this role until Watson Pharmaceuticals acquired the company in February 1997. He was also a founder and Chairman of the Board of NextDerm Inc., a venture that was acquired in 1999 by Procyte Corp.
From 1984 to 1985 Mr. Oclassen served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Pharmaquest Corporation, a pharmaceutical development consulting company. From 1982 to 1984, he was a partner in the Peachtree Creek Consulting Group, a firm providing marketing consulting services to health care and consumer products companies. In 1977, Mr. Oclassen founded the Neutrogena Dermatologics division of Neutrogena Corp. and served as President until 1982. He was employed by Allergan Pharmaceuticals from 1971 until 1977 where he was concurrently Director of Marketing for OTC ophthalmic products, and General Manager of the Dermatology Division.
Mr. Oclassen previously held marketing and sales positions with Westwood Pharmaceuticals, which was founded by his father Charles A. Oclassen, and with Wm. H. Rorer Pharmaceuticals. He received a B.S. in zoology from San Diego State University in 1965. Mr. Oclassen is a member of the Cutaneous Therapy Society and the North American Clinical Dermatology Society. He was previously elected as the first non-physician member of the Executive Committee of the Dermatology Foundation.

Frederick J. Ruegsegger
Director
Mr. Ruegsegger has been a managing director of Four Oaks Partners, a transaction advisory firm, since April 2012. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Sterigenics International, Inc., a sterilization technology company, from June 2004 until September 2011. Prior to that, Mr. Ruegsegger served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff of Sterigenics' former parent company, Ion Beam Applications from May 2002 to June 2004. From October 2000 to May 2002, Mr. Ruegsegger provided financial and general management services, generally as a consultant, to a variety of companies including CentPharm, LLC, Phaethon Communications and others. Prior to that, Mr. Ruegsegger was Chief Financial Officer of Neoforma, Inc. from August 1999 to October 2000. Mr. Ruegsegger also served as Senior Vice President Finance and Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer at Axys Pharmaceuticals from December 1996 to July 1999 and was President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director at EyeSys Technologies, an ophthalmology instrumentation company from July 1993 to December 1996. Prior to joining EyeSys, Mr. Ruegsegger held senior positions at Vitaphore Corporation, a biomaterials company, including President and Chief Executive Officer of the company from January 1991 to June 1993.
Mr. Ruegsegger received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Illinois and holds a Masters of Management degree from Northwestern University.
